The new hours and days of operation will be from
10AM to 4PM, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Books and DVDs checked out before the closure may be returned during
these hours. There will be no overdue fees associated with these
The Library is now accepting donations of only the following items: DVDs, jigsaw puzzles, paperbacks, hard-back books published since 2014. All donations should be in good condition.
When the Donut Drop-In resumes, we will plan to resume our monthly Book Sale as well.
There will be no Saturday Night Movie for the remainder of 2021.
If anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer librarian, stop by the
desk and fill out an application. All librarians must be members of
Friends of the Library

|The Library is operated independently and
is not an ORHA organization and receives no funding from
ORHA or Oak Run Associates, Ltd.
The Library at Oak Run is the best retirement community
private library in the area. Your FREE library card
entitles you to borrow books, puzzles, newly
released DVD movies (at a small fee per day) and a large
selection of two week DVD's. Get your card today!
The Library is managed by the Friends of the Library
Board. Its operation depends upon your support of the
monthly Saturday Night at the Movies, the Book Sales
during the Donut Drop-Ins and on fees for newly released
The Library is run entirely by volunteers. Volunteers are
needed in many areas and may also work as Librarians. Librarian
are on duty for 3 hours every other week. New volunteers will be trained
and start as substitutes. Sign up to volunteer in the Library.
Library membership cards are free to all Oak Run
residents. Replacement of mutilated or broken cards is
also free. Replacement of a lost card is $1.

Library (FOL) organization supports the

|Time Limited Items
The following may be
borrowed for two weeks and renewed once for another
two-week period. The overdue fine is 10¢ per day. The
replacement fee is $20 for lost or non-repairable books
and replacement costs for other items.

Large Print Books
A maximum of 4 items can be borrowed during any visit.
Items include hardback books, books on CD, Music CDs, and
2-week DVD's. Up to 2 items can be new books.
New books, books less than 6 months old, may be borrowed
for two weeks with no renewal. New books include best
sellers and also some large print books. New books are
kept on a separate book shelf.
DVDs, Paperbacks, Puzzles, Magazines
Popular DVDs are obtained
when released for sale. Movies may be borrowed overnight
except those borrowed on Friday and Saturday are due
back on Monday. There is no limit on the quantity of
DVDs that can be borrowed during any visit. A $2 deposit
is required for DVDs, with $1 returned when the DVD is
returned on time. Late fee is $1/day. Replacement fee
for lost DVDs is actual replacement cost.
All Paperback books, Jigsaw Puzzles and Magazines have
been contributed. They may be borrowed and returned in a
timely manner when you are finished with them. Up to 10
Paperbacks and an unlimited number of Jigsaw Puzzles can
be borrowed during any visit. Magazines in the Magazine
Rack are available for reading in the library. Older
magazines on a separate shelf may be taken home.
